崑劇青春版《牡丹亭》是著名旅美學者白先勇先生改編自明代劇作家湯顯祖之經典名劇《牡丹亭》之新編崑劇，此劇結合了兩岸三地戲曲文化的精英，並以「青春」為主題的現代藝術思維，自2004年起分別於台灣、香港、中國大陸及美國等地演出，引起極大的回響，至今已創造了近兩百場滿場的成功演出佳績，本劇對於當前崑劇的創新發展、研究、保存及傳承有著重要的意義與價值。本文主要對崑劇青春版《牡丹亭》音樂之傳統與創新手法，進行研究與分析，探討戲曲創作時如何保留曲牌音樂的體製規範並開創出新的特色與表現風格，延續並發展傳統戲曲的新風貌。研究內容包含分析本劇的唱腔風格、主題音樂、主題合唱與樂器的應用等手法，希望藉由本研究，整理出一些曲式內容，提供音樂研究者與作曲家參考。

The youth version of Kungu Opera「The Peony Pavilion」 is adapted from the classical 「The Peony Pavilion」 from a Chinese playwright, Tang Xian-Zu, of the Ming Dynasty, and is promoted by a distinguished scholar named Mr. Pai Hsien-Yong, now living in United Sates. Elitist of the traditional opera culture in Greater China are gathered to perform in this youth-oriented play. The play has been performed since 2004 in Taiwan, Hong Kong, China and United States for nearly 200 times; it attracts lots of people to watch in every single time and leads to a great success. In addition, the play for the innovation and development of current, research, preservation and heritage of great significance and value.In this paper, the youth version of Kunqu Opera ”The Peony Pavilion” music tradition and innovation practices, research and analysis to explore how to retain creative drama music tunes and the institutional norms and create new features and performance style, continuation and development of traditional opera new look. The study includes analysis of the opera singing style, theme music, theme choral and music, orchestration approach, hoping that through this study, sorted out some of the musical content, providing music researchers and composers reference.
