In order to promote and develop competitive sports, the popularity of specific sport would contribute to the success of its development. One of the approaches to gain sport popularity in limited time is successful performance in international competition, for example, women softball team is one of the best cases. The purpose of this review article was to re-focus on the performance and challenge of national Taiwan women’s softball team, after the previous article was published (Long, 2006). There are several conclusion could be made. First, Taiwan’s national softball team is one of the best team among Asian. Second, the location of most women softball team are based on west part of Taiwan, there are few in the other area. Furthermore, on the college level, there are only four teams left around the island. Without enough female collage players, no doubts that there is no amateur softball club or team could be established. Lastly, with all the challenge raised above, limited softball promotion budget and feature career perspective arrangement were two of the obstacles to extend territory of participation softball for all.
