The goal of this research is to increase levels of Japanese communicat ion, through the use of social network services (SNS) looking at the possibilities of proactive learning in the classroom. The participants of this research are 2^(nd) Year Applied Japanese students from a university in north Taiwan. The duration of this research was one semester. Students were asked in their conversation class to chat and make friends with Japanese locals on SNS. The main goal for this activity to increase proactive learning of students. Every week, students had to chat with Japanese locals, and, report their findings to the class. This research collected qualitative data - questionnaires in the mid- and end of semester exams, personal reflections and in-class discussions - that were used to analyze the effects and prospects of proactive learning. The results of this research showed that students benefited from the learning experience. It allowed students to overcome problems experienced during their studying of Japanese, as well as encouraged proactive learning. Students also developed a solid understanding of the application of plain form. This research shows the possibilities of using SNS in the classroom to learn Japanese。|本研究はコミュニケーション能力向上を目標とし、ソーシャルネットワーキングサービス(以下SNSとする)を授業で活用し、日本語教育のアクティブラーニングの実践研究を行ったものである。台湾北部の某大学応用日本語学科2年の学習者を対象とした会話授業で、1 学期間にSNSを通し、日本人とチャットをし、友達になることを目指すプロジェクトを行った。この活動で、日本人との交流に対する能動的学習を促すことを目的とする。毎週SNSで日本人と話しをすることを課題とし、授業で成果を発表し、学習者同士で話し合った。分析資料は中間、期末テストのアンケート、毎回の活動の報告、反省シートである。学習者の反応からアクティブラーニングの効果と可能性を検討した。その結果、被験者はこの活動が日本語学習に役に立つと捉えていた。また、困難を克服し、能動的に学習が行われた。なお、学生同士の体験から普通体の使用場面を理解できた。SNSを用いた新しいスタイルの教育的意義の示唆が得られた
