This article aims to discuss the philosophy of postmodernism and its enlightenment to the Ministry of Education's promotion of the 2019 curriculum guidelines of 12-year
basic education for senior high schools and vocational-technical schools. The author read
and commented on the literature. First, explain the social evolution of "modern" and
"postmodern"; then, discuss the essential connotations of postmodern philosophy; then
synthesize the critical propositions of “postmodernism” philosophy, and organize its
purposes into “Diversity,” “practicability,” “innovation,” “literacy,” “artistry,”
“communication,” “criticism and revision,” and “information futurity” condenses and
presents the spirit of postmodernism. Then, reflect on the modernist educational
philosophy after the Ministry of Education promoted the teaching practice of 2019
curriculum guidelines, and establish the relationship between “postmodern philosophy
and 2019 curriculum guidelines”. And then analyze the implementation outcomes of 2019
curriculum guidelines that other journal article writers have completed in recent years. In
addition to clarifying the excellent characteristics displayed in the 108 curriculum
guidelines, this study discusses some points that are needed to be revised according to
“the learning process”, “multiple electives”, “inquiry and practice”, and “multiple
electives” respectively. Finally, in face of criticism from the academic field on the

implementation of the 2019 curriculum guidelines, the author proposes that the national
education policy formulation agency should refer to the spirit of critical philosophy and
make the necessary improvements and adjustments that meet the needs of students and parents.
