本文討論近年來實驗心理學在研究中文字方面的一些主要發展。很顯然的，目前大多數的研究集中在兩個問題：一為視覺偏向（Visual Lateralization）的問題，一為字形轉換為語音的問題。我們介紹了四個實驗，都是從資訊傳遞（Information Processing）的觀點來探討這兩個問題。

　　　　　In this paper we reviewed some of the recent developments in the experimental investigation ofreading Chinese characters. Two major approaches were noted. One concerns with the problemof visual lateralization and the other with the problem of phonemic recoding. Four experimentsfrom our laboratory were described which attempted to clear up the above issues from. an information processing perspective.
