This study is based on the result of a questionnaire investigation of 510 students presently studying in Junior High Schools in Yunlin County, with the following 4 groups of questions: 1. Degree of understanding to the functions of school libraries. 2. State of the use of school libraries. 3. State of the use of information. 4. Personal culture background. The result of the investigation indicates that teachers, school authority and even government authority should pay more attention to the instruction of a more advanced and comprehensive library use to students; and that teachers should have a more thorough understanding of the functions of school libraries.
