This paper first seeks to illuminate many of the issues related to early childhood curriculum decision- making, design and implementation as it exists today and as has evolved over time in Taiwan. In Kindergarten, the locus of curriculum decision making is under individual school, where teachers and principals becoming the key decision makers. How- ever, some informal and improfessional forces are still working. Though the adoption of KBCD promotes spontaneity, flexibility and diversity, most of the kindergarten curriculum models are copied from America and based on developmental theories only. Next,ten questions challenging us in the future and tweleve trends about the kingarten curriculum development are identified and disscussed. Finally, the implications for further researches are provided.
