　　　　　科學傳播係指科學家經由正式和非正式的資訊管道傳播科學資訊。科學家一方面 生產資訊，一方面尋求資訊。本文介紹科學傳播的理論及無形學院、資訊守門人、馬太效 應、新事物散播之概念，並列舉科學傳播的調查研究實例。期望圖書資訊服務人員除研究 科學家的資訊尋求行為，亦應瞭解科學家如何生產與傳播其研究成果，以掌握科學資訊並 協助科學尋求資訊。
　　　　　Scientific communication means the scientists in any field use and disseminate information through formal and informal channels. On the one hand, the scientists produce information; on the other hand, the scientists use information. This article introduces the theory of scientific communication and some related concepts as invisible college, information gatekeeper, Matthew effect, diffusion of innovation. Examples of empirical studies on scientiffic communication are also provided. Besides understanding the information seeking behavior of scientists. the information service personnel should study how scientists disseminate their research results in order to help scientists seek information.
