     製造策略的重要觀念乃是「重視製造功能之積極主動的角色,並進而以其做為公 司的競爭利器」。然而,公司能否積極地以製造功能來取得競爭優勢。實與製造部門在企業 經營決策過程中所扮演的角色 (製造部門策略性角色 ) 有密切的關聯。 由此可見,製造部 門策略性角色對製造策略的影響極其重要。本研究的主要目的,即在於以實證的方式瞭解我 國資訊 / 電子業製造部門策略性角色、製造競爭力及公司績效等變數彼此間的相互關係。 在本研究中,利用 LISREL 統計軟體探討製造部門策略性角色、製造競爭力及公司績效間的 因果性關係。研究結果發現,本文所建立的理論模型確能通過各項統計的驗證,而且製造部 門策略性角色對製造競爭力與公司績效皆有顯著的影響。
     The important concept of the manufacturing strategy is to highly evaluate the active and proactive part the manufacturing function takes, and, furthermore to make it a competing asset or arms of the corporation against their rival. However, how the corporation can effectively take the advantage of the manufacturing function to get the priority in the course of hard competition is in effect closely relative with the role the manufacturing department plays during tthe management's decision making process. In this regard, the manufacturing strategic role has a profound influence on its manufacturing strategy. The purpose of this research is to study the linkage of manufacturing strategic role 、 manufacturing competence and corporation performance, by the empirical method, and in the case of information /electronic industry on Taiwan. We use LISREL model to complete this empirical research. The major conclusions of this research are sum-marized as follows:The studies have developed a theoretical model, and it has significant statistical meanings. Furthermore, the manufacturing strategic role has effect on both the manufacturing competence and corporation performance.
