This essay tries to analyze "the change of family ethics in Taiwan:, in terms of tradition, modernization and post-modernization. By means of these three different perspectives, it explores the shift of meaning and contents of family ethics and discusses the current situations in Taiwan's society. In conclusion, this essay points out that we should not disroot traditional ideas of family ethics, but rather to critically review these values, in accordance with the change of social structure and new concepts raised by post-modern thought.
