　　由於在現工商社會中，遍及各界之工商資訊需求者多半具有「迅速掌握正確、具時效性的工商資訊」之需求，而工商類資料庫對他們來說，重要性別不可等閒視之。本文首先概述工商類資料庫之範圈，及其於資料庫產業中之地位，並進一步將探討對象鎖定為「工商類『書目』資料庫」，以它為例，深入介紹其資訊蒐集、篩選、分析過程之相關文獻，讓讀者從中瞭解它的製作過程所應具備之步單單、一般業者之作法，以及近年來業界所應用的新資訊檢索技術，最後，歸納近年工商類書目資料庫之重大發展趨勢，使讀者體認這些轉變對資料庫業界產生之影響。
　　In a modern business society, most business information seekers have the need to get correct and timely business information as soon as possible. For them, the importance of business information databases can not be more emphasized. This paper first gives a general introduction to the range that business databases cover and the position they occupy in database industry. Next the study will be focused on the business bibliographic database, which is used as an example for a detailed review of the relevant literature on the process for information collection, selection, and analysis. From this illustration readers can understand the required steps of its production, the methods generally adopted producers, and the latest technology of information retrieval applied the industry these years. At last, a summary about the recent trend of important developments business bibliographic databases is given to show the readers what is these changes have caused on database industry.
