This paper briefly introduces the concept of the demassification of reading promotion(also known as the"focus reading promotion"),and discusses its features and its application at university campus. With several practical cases at domestic university campuses,the paper proposes that a series of promotional events,such as"Admission Season""Anniversary Season"and"Graduation Season"should be designed,and a long-term mechanism for reading promotion established. Therefore,academic libraries should create a repositary for focus reading program,establish the coordination and evaluation mechanisms for reading promotion,and make good use of interactive propaganda.
