This study explored the correlation between the learning climate, academic emotion, learning engagement, and self-efficacy of the hospitality group practice subject's vocational high school students in Taiwan (including the Outlying Islands). There were 52 vocational high schools; 1230 students were included and received 996 valid questionnaires with an effective recovery rate of 80.98%. The obtained data were analyzed by descriptive statistics, item analysis, t-test, one-way analysis of variance, Pearson product-moment correlation coefficient, confirmatory factor analysis, structural equation model, and other statistical methods using SPSS 24.0 and LISREL 8.80 statistical software programs. After analyzing the data, the following conclusions were drawn:
1.The students at the hospitality group practice subject’s vocational high school were in good condition regarding the learning climate, academic emotion, learning engagement, and self-efficacy of the departmental practice subjects.
2.The overall perception of learning climate, academic emotion, learning engagement, and self-efficacy of the hospitality group practice subject's vocational high school students existed with different background variables. The third grade was higher than the second and first grades. Those with a technician certificate were higher than those without a technical degree: technician's license, further education than employment, and undecided. Regarding learning climate, academic emotion, and overall perception of learning engagement, females were higher than males, and the public was more elevated than the private school. In the general perception of academic emotions, no part-time work experience was higher than part-time work experience. The perception of learning engagement in the east was higher than in the middle of Taiwan. The perception of self-efficacy in the north was higher than in the middle of Taiwan.
3.The students at the hospitality group practice subject’s vocational high school determined the learning climate, academic emotion, learning engagement, and self-efficacy of the internship subjects, and the relationship between them was established.
4.The study input of the students at the hospitality group practice subject’s vocational high school completely mediated the learning climate, academic emotion, and self-efficacy.
