This paper focuses on the Confucian philosophy of man of the three pre-Chin philosophers, Confucius, Mencius and Hsun-Tzu. It also tries to see the Confucian philosophy of man in the light of the Jewish and Christian ideas of man and explore how the former should respond to the latter. First of all, we have to separately explore the three Confucian philosophers’ understanding about humankind and humanity and their essential arguments about the outlooks on life. Then, we will talk about how to complement the immanence of he Confucian philosophy of man with the Jewish and Christian ideas of man (and the theology.)
