The rapid growth of digital library systems makes it difficult for users to choose a suitable system, therefore it becomes more and more important to understand and evaluate digital library systems. In other words, the digital library systems must be carefully planned, implemented, and evaluated to fulfill user's requirements, no matter on its hardware equipments, contents, functional capabilities, and interface features. This article uses transaction log analysis to evaluate the Nation Taiwan University Digital Library and Museum (NTUDLM). In addition to describing the basic concepts of transaction log analysis, this article analyzes the application of transaction log analysis on NTUDLM. At the end of this article, the author also provides some suggestions for NTUDLM and future research of digital library systems.
