　　　　　本研究分析報紙和電視如何再現青少年犯罪案件，共蒐集民國89年1 月1日至5月31日的七份日晚報252則新聞，及三家電視台同一期間的晚間七點新聞99則進行分析。本研究發現，電視和報紙報導的青少年犯罪型態大同小異，兩者均過度報導殺人、綁票等暴力犯罪案件，並極度重視警方來源，偏重犯罪者的說詞。新聞媒體報導青少年犯罪新聞時，出現四種偏差，包括統計偏差、常規偏差、處理偏差和空間偏差。其中電視比報紙更強調不尋常案件的統計偏差，更常譴責犯罪行為，且更對青少年犯罪新聞做顯著處理。總體來說，兩種媒體都偏重案發時的報導，輕忽犯罪案件後續的司法程序正義。
