This journal published Shyy’s pioneering research on pricing model for the per-sales housing in 1992. The purpose of this study is to extend Shyy’s model and allows buyers have rights to give up the contract after paying their initial up-front payment. Using Shyy’s data, we find that our model’s prediction power is better than Shyy’s model. In addition, our results support Shyy’s comparative static results.
