本研究主要的目的在了解台北市基層員警的休閒參與和工作壓力之現況，以及探討基層員警的休閒參與和工作壓力的關係。本研究結果顯示，基層警察整體上參與休閒活動的頻率有偏低的情況，因素分析分析結果，將30個活動參與變項縮減成5個休閒參與構面，分別命名為技藝性活動、家居性活動、娛樂性活動、體育性活動和戶外性活動，其參與頻率以家居性活動最高；此外，臺北市基層警察所面臨的整體工作壓力有偏高的現象；本研究結果也發現，家居性活動和娛樂性活動與外部因素壓力、內部因素壓力以及個人因素壓力達到顯著的正相關，說明了這兩種類型休閒活動的參與無助於基層員警工作壓力之紓解。
The purpose of this study was to examine the junior policemen's current condition of leisure participation and work stress in Taipei, Taiwan, R.O.C.. The findings indicated that the frequency of junior policemen's leisure participation was low. Based on the results of factor analysis, five dimensions of leisure participation were extracted. They were labeled as skill-based activity, family-based activity, entertaining activity, sports activity, and outdoor activity. Familiy-based activity had the highest participating rate. The results also revealed that junior policement's overall work stress was relatively high. In addition, the findings suggested that family-based and entertaining activities were positively correlated with internal stress, external stress, and personal stress. In other words, the participation of the two types of leisure activity was not beneficial to the relief of junior policemen's work stress.
