題名:碎形分維在臺灣海岸線分類的特性及其在地圖簡化上的應用

碎形的研究與發展,不僅打破了傳統的歐基里德幾何學概念,並闡釋許多過去科學忽略的非線性現象與大自然複雜結構,因此近年來此方法與理論已廣泛地運用到如物理學、天文學、地理學以及社會學等各種領域,成為一個跨學科的研究風潮。本文首先介紹碎形的理論與計測方法,接著運用此方法量測台灣各地的海岸線並探討台灣的海岸特性與分類的問題;經過重新檢視,依海岸曲折率、屬性特徵與碎形分維值,可將本島海岸區劃為14個區與八大類型。最後則延伸碎形的分析模式,除了以網格法探討台灣西南海岸歷年來地形變化的碎形幾何差異特性,作為海岸變動的監控點外;並嘗試藉由與道格拉斯—龐格(Douglas& Peucker) 最佳容許值之地圖簡化法相較,求取以碎形為基礎之海岸線簡化原則,藉以提供作為地理資訊系統在海岸管理與地圖自動簡化之參考。
Since fractal theory can describe irregularly shaped objects or spatially nonuniform phenomena that cannot be described by Euclidean geometry, it becomes a new research method and adopts extensively in many subjects, such like astronomy, geography, geology, and some social sciences. This paper begins with introducing fractal theory and its measure methods, then using fractal hypothesis to analyze the characteristic of Taiwan coastline and define 14 sections, 8 different types of the coastline. The last part is to expand the application of fractal theory both in investigating the southwest coastline landform adjust and mapping generalization by modified the Douglas & Peucker's law. The result will be helpful for GIS software design to manage coast information data and implement map automation.
