Internet communication technology promotes massive and dynamic information to be gathered, communicated and shared on its platform. It not only breaks the boundary of traditional media and triggered the trend between digital and media convergence, but also let previously isolated information and communication industry to be indistinguishable. This research observes the current phenomenon of digital convergence, media channels from U.S Defense Department and PROC Military's usage of internet media to communicate its current military status. Meanwhile, it also explores and discusses ROC military's media unit's mastering of internet technology trends and its impact on organization structure, leadership, media production's integration and usage with the purpose of building superior image, utilizing civilian internet resource and pioneering marketing communication as a direction for future improvement under the current military construction philosophy of "less quantity, better quality and superior strength". At the moment, the internet is already making an impact on traditional media. ROC Armed Force should recognize this instrument's characteristics as a new medium and the trends within media management in order to integrate and support one another through forging text, picture, television and broadcast media's strength, and effectively display news media communication's power through maximizing internet media's far-reaching characteristics.
