Reading is the foundation of learning. Children are impressed by their families, schools and society. High literacy rates have a direct correlation to the overall success of the country. Public libraries work in conjunction with local schools to improve children's reading abilities. One example of such arrangement is "Bring Books to Classrooms". The mission of this strategy is to bring books to children, to enhance the desirability of children to read, and even for children to have an influence on the reading behavior of their parents. In addition, parents are much more likely to induce their children to go to libraries and bookstores. All of these elements are opportunities to cultivate children's reading habits. The primary focus of a program in Finland entitled "Not One Less" is on the coordination of education and culture. This program has successfully improved Finnish Children's reading abilities, and is worthy of consideration and emulation in our country.
