本研究假設會去金門國家公園旅遊和不會去的人有不同的價值觀,研究目的試圖找出「有去過」、「計劃要去」和「沒有去過」、「沒有計劃要去」的人有哪些顯著不同的價值觀。根據文獻(高立學、劉冠妤,2009a,2009b;Kahle,1983;Maslow,1970a,1970b;Rokeach,1973;Schwartz,1992),使用44個和國家公園旅遊相關的人生價值觀,調查受訪者在日常生活中對這些價值觀的重視程度,並詢問受訪者的金門國家公園旅遊經驗和意願。有效問卷578份。資料分析結果發現「有去過者」(118位)比「沒去過者」(460位)或「去過且未來三年內計劃要去者」(70人)比「沒去過且沒有計劃要去者」(263人)顯著重視「美麗的世界」、「尊重傳統」、「與自然融合爲一」。相關價值觀理論,以Schwartz的價值觀理論最能提供完整的金門國家公園旅遊選擇行爲預測。
Research has demonstrated that personal values can predict one's behavior (Rokeach, 1973; Schwartz, 1994). Likewise, it is reasonable to expect that the travel behavior in Kinmen National Park would be affected by personal values. Using existing 44 value measures (Kahle, 1983; Maslow, 1970a, 1970b; Rokeach, 1973; Schwartz, 1992, 1996), the current study sought to determine which values were perceived as relevant to tourism in Kinmen National Park. A survey was conducted that utilized a questionnaire with the 44 value measures and measures of Kinmen National Park travel behavior. Respondents were asked to rate the importance of each value as a guiding principle in their life. Six hundred and ninety-five questionnaires were collected and 578 considered valid. The results showed that respondents who emphasized the values A WORLD OF BEAUTY, UNITY WITH NATURE, RESPECT FOR TRADITION tended to visit and plan to visit Kinmen National Park. Compare to other value theories, the Schwartz' value theory provide a better prediction of Kinmen Nation Park travel behavior.
