近年來,隨著年齡結構的改變,老化已成為現今社會上一個相當需要重視的課題,此外,伴隨著老年人認知退化與罹患失智症的案例與日俱增,使得如何提升老年人認知功能的議題越來越受到重視。一些研究指出:運動或身體活動介入對老年人認知功能的提昇確實可產生效益。不過,其中大部分的研究都從有氧運動的角度來思考,事實上阻力訓練似乎對老年人的認知功能也能有正面的影響。因此,本文將藉由文獻回顧來探討阻力訓練對於老年人認知功能之效益,並藉由統整方式整理出如何藉由有效的阻力訓練原則與建議處方來維持或提升老年人的認知功能,以提供相關運動指導員一個參考的依據。
In recent years, with the change of age structure in the population, aging has become a very important issue worthy to pay attention to in the society nowadays. Besides, cases of the elderly suffering from Alzheimer's disease and dementia have been increasingly reported. Consequently, more and more people concern how to enhance cognitive function of the elderly. Some researches have demonstrated that exercising or the intervention of physical activities did have beneficial enhancement on the cognitive function for the senior adults and these studies were done based on the perspective of the aerobic-based exercise training instead of resistance training. In fact, resistance training seems have positive effects on the cognitive capacities of the seniors as well. Therefore, the purpose of this review aimed to explore the sound effects of resistance training on the cognition of the elderly through literature review and to summarize the principles of how to maintain or enhance the cognitive function of the senior adults with the effective resistance training. The suggested prescription of resistance training can be referenced by exercise advisors.
