過去針對觀光旅館營運績效評估的研究大多聚焦在營運效率上並且強調資源使用率。關於如何滿足旅館顧客需求以及如何提高飯店所提供之服務的顧客使用率則較少被提及。因此,本研究提出效能的觀點來評估國際觀光旅館的營運績效,並利用資料包絡分析法(DEA)來分析衡量。再者,本研究擴展Malmquist生產力指標以評估國際觀光旅館效能的改變。結果顯示在53家國際觀光旅館中,有20家的效能改變值大於1,並且持續放大,然而,有33家的效能改變值小於1 且其獲利能力呈現遞減。
Most of the prior study of performance evaluation focus on the operation efficiency and emphasize the usage of resources. About the discussions of fulfilling customers’ needs and its usage of the services provided by hotels are relatively rare. Therefore, this study proposes the view of effectiveness to evaluate the operation performance for international tourism hotels (ITHs) and applies Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) to measure it. Furthermore, this research extends Malmquist productivity index to assess the effectiveness changes of ITHs. The results show that within 53 ITHs, the total effectiveness changes of 20 ITHs are larger than 1 and are keeping in growing, however, the total effectiveness changes of 33 ITHs are less than 1 and indicate their profitability are decreasing.
