The Purpose of this study is to explore the influences of phototherapy group for nursing home residents. The participants of this study are average on 83 years old nursing home residents in Taiwan. The phototherapy group for these old people lasted for 7 sessions. The group met once a week and took 90-minute phototherapy each time. The group exercises including 3 parts-(1)taking photograph actively, (2)taking photograph passively, (3)videotaping actively. Among those sessions, additional 3 individual phototherapy sessions were afforded for 2 special participants due to the personal special needs. The data were collected by 4 observers’ records. And establish the intercoder reliability.85 by 3 raters. The findings were expounded with cross-case analysis which included 5 dimensions- the influences of phototherapy group on cognition, emotion, interpersonal relationship, spiritual needs, and the factors of influences of phototherapy. These findings will be going to feed back to nursing home and senior department as to improve both of the quality of phototherapy training courses and practical service.
