　　近代圖書館的功能主要在於掌握資訊、提供服務與傳播資訊，圖書館學因此日益重視使用者及使用研究，冀以根據使用者資訊使用特性與資訊需求來規畫並改進圖書館的服務。本文針對臺灣地區出版83種文史哲期刊，西元1990年至1994年間，刊載的學術論文5,955篇進行抽樣調查，就346篇樣本期刊論文中的15, 261 筆引用文獻加以分析。期望透過對文史哲領域期刊論文引用文獻的分析，進一步理解這個領域學科發展的現況及研究者文獻使用的特性，同時期望調查分析的結果，可以做為規畫與改進圖書館服務時的參考。
　　The purpose of this article is to find out the characteristics of the research materials used by local authors of journal articles on literature, history and philosophy as indicated by their citations. In order to obtain source items, 5,955 articles on literature, history, and philosophy published in 83 Taiwanese journals from 1990 through 1994 were sampled. From the sample, 346 articles which produced 15,261 citations were randomly selected and further analyzed. It is hoped that the results of this survey will be useful to libraries in Taiwan in providing more beneficial services to researchers in the humanities.
