An experiment on comprehensive high school was decided by the conclusion of National Educational Conference in June 1994. The experiment meets the needs of social change and the trend of reform of high schools worldwide. This paper intends to investigate the rationale of experiment on comprehensive high school in Taiwan, the characteristics of comprehensive high school, key points for the development of comprehensive high school cuurriculum, the framework of comprehensive high school cuurriculum, and the arrangement necessary for the implementation of curriculum, and finally to review and examine the status quo of experiment on comprehensive high school curriculum as a reference for the full scale implementation in the future.
