相關研究指出,校長角色、領導行為、領導風格、以及領導效能衝擊學生之學業成就、學校文化、教師授權、教師專業發展、學校改革、以及學校改善。本研究之目的,係透過質性個案研究,探討美國中西部一所基礎學校之校長領導對學校文化的衝擊。資料蒐集係透過訪談、觀察、以及文件分析方式;分析資料係使用開放式編碼和焦點式編碼。研究發現針對領導者、組織文化、以及領導者之衝擊三方面加以詮釋。啟示中指出,校長係發展基礎學校文化之本質;透過優質領導,校長與基礎學校能致力於學校改革成效。
Studies have shown that the principal's role, behaviors, and personal style contribute to leadership effectiveness. Such characteristics impact students' academic success and achievement while contributing to teacher empowerment through professional development, and successful school reformation efforts. Through a qualitative case study, the purpose of this research is to examine the impact of principal leadership upon school culture in a Basic School. Data were focused coding. The implications of this study suggest that the principal is essential in developing the culture of the Basic School. The Basic Elementary School philosophy reflects a collective capacity to continue creating a school that prepares students for the future. With this outstanding leadership and persistent attitude, the principal and the Basic School can rise above all potential problems and help educate children, teachers, parents, and the business community in their school reformation efforts.
