在激烈競爭的網壇上,選手為了要出奇制勝,除了需藉助先進的新科技及有效的訓練方式外、正確的營養補充、基礎體能的鍛鍊和強化心理素質,都是不可或缺的重要因素。然而,成功運動員背後的科研輔助力量,是突破瓶頸、再創巔峰表現的重要關鍵。高級教練都知道,要誘發選手真正的潛能,使他們更上一層樓,應藉助運動科學的協助。選手如能瞭解專項運動的特質,配合計畫來強化訓練,將來在賽場上才能將技能發揮至極,並可避免因運動傷害所帶來的困擾。本文將依以下五個部分:一、網球比賽的生理機制;二、網球選手醫學檢查與測試;三、網球選手基本體能要素;四、網球運動之動作控制與傷害預防;五、恢復與輔助訓練等影響技能的因素加以探討,希冀能提供教練、教師、選手在擬定訓練、比賽計畫與醫師、物理治療師臨床工作之參考。
