The purpose of the study was to compare with reating scale model and Rasch’s dichotomous model in the applications of the elementary school psychomotor test. The subjects were 447 fifth grade students’ basic basketball-throwing testing in basketball course. It used the WINSTEPS software program to estimate the testing. They with item calibration, item and person distribution map, model-data fit, estimation person ability, estimation item difficulties and category probability curves. The results we got show that the Rasch’s dichotomous model was easy to model data fit. Rating Scale Model could present more test information and exactly estimation of item difficulty and examinees’ ability, but the model had difficulty fitting in the psychomotor test. And it can enhance the high quality of the elementary school psychomotor test.
