The Yellow Crane Terrace (黃鶴樓) Cui hao (崔顥) is an immortal masterpiece which reflects the meaning and value of our lives. It presents and pictures human emotions though our longing for the fairies, fame and homecoming. In his The Yellow Crane Terrace, Cui hao went beyond the role of just a visitor and repeatedly experienced his choice of the value of life and his feeling of loss. Through the observation on the legends of fairyland from Han Wei Liuchao (漢魏六朝) and Sui Tang (隋唐) on, we catch on Cui hao’s thought and consideration and also his sadness and hopelessness. From this point of view, this poem is actually set on the background of Chinese history and Tand culture.
