因應未來的台灣人口結構老化的急劇變化，如何針對老人因老化所產生、心理等的變化，提供符合老人的衛生教育方法，藉由教育的方式，強化老人健康促進、預防疾病、增加自我照顧之能力，以期改善生活品質、提高生存的尊嚴與降低醫療成本，此應為老人健康照護最根本與最符合經濟效益的因應之道，也是健康照護計畫中最具積極的前瞻性目標。
The dramatically demographic change of the elderly in Taiwan has created much impact to the society. The effective methods to support appropriate health education and health promotion to the elderly based on their needs are important policies in health care systems. The present paper aims to examine the health issues of health education and health promotion, tries to suggest the effective ways to improve the health for the elderly in Taiwan.
