This survey study investigated the leisure activity participation of the junior high school students in music-talented classes, including time, expectation, and obstacles. Participants were from schools in Yunlin, Chiayi, and Tainan. The result shows that the most participated leisure activities of musictalented classes students were art and entertainment activities. The average duration of the leisure activities in weekdays was 31-60 minutes but 61-90 minutes in non-weekdays. The major motivations were personal interest. Most participants expected participating family leisure activities. Academic pressure was the major obstacles of participating in leisure activities. Majority of participants disliked participating physical leisure activities. Most parents encouraged participants to participate in leisure activities. Language Art teachers were the major information source of leisure activities. The findings suggest that schools should enrich their physical education programs, develop parents' a positive attitude toward leisure activities, and offer diverse leisure activities.
