In accordance to the oncoming e generation of network, it already turned the present one tendency to integrate the multimedia, the information science and technology into teaching. By using the suitable instruments would promote the special education teacher to teaching more effectively. The characteristics that can be used and practice repeatedly, providing multi-sense organ’s impetus, be individualized and immediately the back coupling and so on are in view of special child’s learning characteristics and limits. Besides, the outcomes of many empirical studies have proved that the Computer Assisted Instruction (CAI) is indeed good for the student with intellectual disabilities in learning. This article would show the learning characteristics and needs of the student with intellectual disabilities firstly. Then mention the characteristic, the result, the consideration and limit to probe into the feasibility of applied CAI to special education for student with intellectual disabilities.
