Organizational culture is defined as the shared values and beliefs of employees within any given organization. Organizational culture must have a strong ethical focus to ensure that various areas of unethical activities do not take place in the workplace. Leaders must be those to model, communicate, and reinforce ethical behavior to their employees. A code of ethics can be defined as a written document that explicitly states what acceptable and unacceptable behaviors are for all of the employees in the organization. The code of ethics gives a library an opportunity to declare to all of its stakeholders its ethical vision.
