Research PurposeThe purpose of this study was to explore appropriateness of training methods about service motivation on hospital volunteers. Research MethodThe study is a cross-section study and quantitative method, purposive sampling approach for self-administered to collect data in a medical center in central Taiwan. The recycling effectively will ask volume 150 and the response rate is 93.33%. The data were analyzed by describable and deductive statistic analysis.Main FindingsBy stepwise regression analysis to explore volunteers in the implementation phase of the appropriateness of the educational methods related to the important predictive factors. The Predictor of Educational methods of 'On-the-job training' is ”Service Area Number”. The Predictor factors of Educational methods of 'Off-the-job training' are ”High extrinsic motivation intrinsic motivation high” and ”Education”. The Predictor of Educational methods of 'Self-development' is ”Service Area Number”.Conclusion and SuggestionOverall, the impact factors of appropriateness to volunteer educational methods are 'Field Number' and 'Service Motivation'. Social work departments of hospital should plan effective education and training for volunteers. Depend on service contents and motivation of volunteers, choosing a suitable educational method. In order to improve service ability, managing volunteers effectively.
