Purpose: The main purpose of this study was to understand the status of the different backgrounds teachers in leisure participation. Methods: Therefore, subjects of the seven south of Chiayi Junior College of Health Care and Management’s teachers. The questionnaire was designed by myself. After received the questionnaire data, the tool of software is SPSS10.0 statistical tools. Then, methods of analysis used descriptive statistics, independent sample t test (t-test) and single factor analysis of variance (one-way ANOVA) were analyzed. Results: The results are as follows: First, the data shows the Junior College of Health Care and Management’s teachers will be 10 to 11 times per week engaged in leisure activities. As for the types of leisure activities engaged in by "entertainment activities" as the most, followed by the order of "knowledge learning activities", "physical fitness activities”, "social service activities ", the "skill hobby activities" and "Outdoor recreation activities”. Second, the various background factors comparison of their leisure participation: (a), male teachers in the "physical fitness activities, " significantly higher than that of female teachers; (b), "university degree" in teachers significantly higher than the "college graduates" of the teachers; (c), "over 60 years" teachers in the "art of hobby activities" significantly higher than "30 to 40 years old" teachers; (d), "husband and wife living alone" teachers significantly higher than the "living alone" teachers; (e), the average income of different teachers in the "entertainment activities" of a significant level, compared afterwards that: "40,001 ~ 50,000" significantly higher for teachers In the "50,001 ~ 60,000", "60,001 ~ 70,000" and "70,000 more" teachers. Conclusions: College teachers' will lose a lot of chance to join in leisure participation, because of the traditional concept with Taiwan's of women's. To engage in meaningful leisure activities, in order to using leisure time effectively.
