The purpose of this study was to research the relationship between leisure involvement and leisure benefits of cyclists on Pingtung Orchid Fern Bicycle Lane. This study adopted questionnaire survey. The participants were the cyclists on Pingtung Orchid Fern Bicycle Lane. 450 questionnaires were sent out and there were 424 valid questionnaires. The collected data were analyzed through SPSS 12.0 for Windows with item analysis, reliability analysis, descriptive statistics, chi-square test, one-way MANOVA, and Pearson Product-moment Correlation. The findings are as followd: 1.The background variables of cyclist analysis: male, married, 30-39 years old, public servants, college degree, monthly income $30001-50000, riding companies with family, friends, colleagues, and classmates were most. 2.Behavior involvement: 1-2 years, 1-2 times per month, riding time 1-2 hours, equipment expenditure mostly is under $5000, didn’t join club were most. As for the social psychological involvement: the approval of three construction surface in turn is “attraction”, “self-expression”, and “centrality”. As for the leisure benefits, The approval of three construction surface in turn is “physical benefits”, “social benefits”, and “psychological benefits”. 3.Different background variables of leisure involvement: All background variables had remarkable differences in behavior involvement, such as sex, age, education level, monthly income, and riding company. 4.Different items of behavior involvement had remarkable differences in leisure benefits, such as participation period , participation frequency, participation time, equipment expenditure, and participation of club. 5.The leisure involvement and leisure benefits are positively-related.
