Fashion show is a form of art combining catwalk, music, space, clothes, performer, expression, psychology and stage design. When performing, the central nervous system is receiving, integrating, and sending signals of sensation and perception. Sensation reflects individual characteristic and perception reflects the whole concept. Although sensation is the basic of perception and perception is the extension of sensation, information processing is an integrated process in which sensation and perception work simultaneously, instead of separately. The purpose of the study was to understand the characteristics of fashion shows, the feature of and the distinction between sensation and perception, the importance of the feed forward and feedback mechanisms, and the meanings of different dimensions of perception in fashion shows in order to enhance the psychological capability of professional models and apply the knowledge in teaching and training in the future.
