Xia Cheng-Tao (1900-1986), who put the greatest efforts on Jiang-Kui’s study and the results are also the most abundant, had the fully mastery of Jiang-Kui’s life line, poetry collection, poetry textual research, and research criticism. The works "Department of Jiang Bo-Shi’s year" and "Bo-Shi’s Ci of chronicle" are the most powerful basis for academic research to study Jiang-Kui, which brings the significant influence. From the five works discussed about Jiang-Kui within "Qu-Ran’s Quatrains about Ci", we will realize that Xia Cheng-Tao penetrated from different aspects, from conditions of wandering life in poverty, to discuss and analysis that Jiang-Kui’s Ci are full of the concept of living sentiment with far-reaching poor but pure leisure and elegant. Furthermore, Xia Cheng-Tao was able to trace to the source through the relationships between past and future, to generalize the Jiang-Kui’s "pure upright" style of Ci, which is different from Jiangxi and Late Tang schools; and compared to patriotic poets such as: Du-Mu, Lu-You, Xin Qi-ji, and other poets of Ci such as: Wen Ting-Yun, Wei-Zhuang, Zhang-Xian, Liu-Youg, to generalize Jiang-Kui’s tenderness of writing style by hardened works, which is unlike other style of Ci, full of gaudy richness and gorgeous since the time of Late Tang and Northern Song dynasty. Xia Cheng-Tao outlined the insightful and objective positioning of Jiang-Kui in Ci field by these five quatrains about Ci.
