The support-or-not attitude of the faculty toward the "Library User
Education" Program has a significant impact on the promotion of this program.
In order to realize the attitudes and viewpoints of the faculty toward the
library user education, this study has conducted a survey for the full-time
faculty of college in Taiwan. The result of this survey indicates that the
faculty has reached a high concurrence on the importance of library user
education, but with a low satisfaction with that offered by the libraries.
It is the author's belief that the upgrading of "quality" and "quantity" on
the library user education is the only viable way to improve the faculty's
satisfaction with and further gain their support on the library user education.
