從遼與五代政權轉移的關係來說,遼與後晉興亡的關係可說是最具代表性，因為石敬瑭得到遼援之後,才得以建立後晉,滅亡後唐,因此其事遼的態度也最恭謹。但是其繼任者石重貴卻不願再以臣禮事遼而與遼爆發衝突,最後被遼所滅。這正是遼國勢力介入五代中原政局最深的一個例子。因此本文以〈遼與後晉興亡關係始末〉為題，分為一、前言；二、遼助石敬瑭建立後晉，（一）石敬瑭的崛起與入據河東，（二）石敬瑭與後唐末帝李從珂的衝突，（三）遼軍入援石敬瑭建後晉滅後唐；三、遼與後晉外交關係的演變，（一）遼與後晉交好，（二）安重榮事件，（三）遼與後晉交惡；四、遼滅後晉，（一）遼第一次攻打後晉，（二）遼第二次攻打後晉，（三）後晉第一次伐遼，（四）後晉第二次伐遼，（五）遼滅後晉；五、結論。探討後晉因遼而興、而亡的演變過程，並且對石敬瑭過於恭謹事遼引起安重榮事件,以及石敬瑭依遼建國成功，鼓舞其他節度使如趙德鈞等人仿效多所論述，以期使讀者更加體認遼在五代政權轉移的關係上，確實曾經扮演過相當重要的角色。

　　　　　The relation between the Liao Dyansty and the rise and fall of the Later Chin Dynasty is the most representative, from the perspective of the relations of the Liao Dynasty and the change of political power of the Five Dynasties. With the support from the Liao Dynasty, Shih Ching-tang destroyed the Later Tang and thus established the Later Chin Dynasty. And he served the Liao Dynasty with due respect. But the successor Shih Chung-kuei was reluctant to serve the Liao Dynasty. As a result, conflict was broken out, and the Later Chin Dynasty was finally destroyed by the Liao Dynasty. This example illuminates that the Liao power was deeply involved in the political struggle of the Five Dynasties. This article explores the significance of the Liao Dynasty in the rise and fall of the Later Chin. From the discussions, readers would better understand the role played by the Liao Dynasty in the change of political power of the Five Dynasties.
