Up to today, the researches of urban image are more stressed on the comprehensive urban image rather thatn on different types of open spaces. Most of the related analyses are investigated by mapimage, interview or structural question. These methods can't be used to understand interviewees' description of the urban space image efficiently. The purpose of the study tries to discuss the image of urban open space through the semantic differential. The correlation between the interviewees with different backgrounds are also explored. In conclusion, the interviewee image of "park" in urban open spaces are "idle", "relaxed", "pleasant", "open" and "active", and etc. The images of "squares" are "idle", "relaxed", "pleasant" "open" "active", and etc. The image of "streets" are "open", "relaxed", "idle", "pleasant", "alive", and etc. As to those open spaces with special functions, the results can't be organized or analysed, for the limitation of the investigated sites. Basic data about "age", "profession", "education" and "place of birth" of interviewees have less correlation with the investigated results of the study.
