視聽媒體因其屬性的不同，可以在教學上扮演各種不同的角色。本文簡述媒體布教學上的角色、媒體教學效果與媒體的發展趨勢外，並試圖以臺灣大學圖書館多媒體服務中心推廣活動為主軸，討論圖書館推展視聽媒體在教學上的應用，在館員與教師的實際互動中，思想與改進圖書館多媒體服務的內涵。

　　　　　Each kind of audio-visual media can play a role to enhance teaching. This paper introduces the extension activity of the Multimedia Center at the National Taiwan University Library, the role of media in teaching, its effects on teaching and the trends of media. Also, it discusses the application of multimedia in teaching and rethinks how to enrich the quality of multimedia services through the interaction between librarians and professors.
