This thesis discusses the presentation of specific principles within the framework of the Four Season-Five Element(四時—五行) thinking model with the theme of Qi(氣) theory thinking on the issues of life and epidemic in the Han Dynasty. The system design reflected in the ritual and folk activities has an important influence on the lifestyle and thinking paradigm of the people. At the same time, this thesis also pays special attention to the competitive relationship of discourse power among popular thoughts, trying to show the respective interpretation tendency of different ideas on life cultivation and protection, as well as the changes in status and power between different schools. Overall, this thesis attempts to start from the perspective of life and epidemic, rethinking on the negative impressions from the academic circles on the Han ideology represented by Qi theory since the New Culture Movement(新文化運動). By exploring the characteristics of life thinking in the Han Dynasty, this thesis attempts to show the various aspects involved in this topic, enrich the orientation of thought research, and reposition the contribution of the Han ideology in academic history.
