本文以受業弟子所了解所及的，以略說錢穆先生的學術思想。此將分為四個項目去說：（一）中國傳統的政治說；（二）中國傳統的社會說；（三）中國傳統的經學說；（四）自然主義觀與心性說。四者中的前三者主要在說明錢先生本其對中國歷史文化的深入了解以表達其對所說諸問題的說法，及其反對所謂現代新的某此中國知識份子違反中國歷史文化的說法。四者中的後者主要在說明錢先生本些以介述中國傳統的世界觀、人生觀，以及其個人對此一說法的認同。

As fromer student of the late professor Ch'en Mu, I will present in this paper how I understand his ideas concerning the following problems: (1) traditional Chinese politics; (2) traditional Chinese society; (3) traditional Chinese classical learnings; (4) the ideas of naturalism and human nature and the mind. The first three mainly indicate how professor Ch'en as a famous contemporary Chinese traditional scholar looked at the problems mentioned and his opposition to the condemnation of the problems by the so-called contemporary Chinese new intelligentsia. The last point mainly indicates how professor Ch'en used this to introduce his own thought as regards the traditional view of the world and human life.
