The contemporary French philosopher Derrida has tried to deconstruct western metaphysics tradition by using his grammatology. This has great impact on philosophy of history, also. Although Derrida did not expound his ideas on philosophy of history, his grammatology has deconstructed the various factors---- such as language, fact, time, text, world, history etc ---of traditional western historical epistemology. This article intends to deal with the possible deconstruction Derrida's ideas may do to traditional historical epistemology, text narration and world-view from these above-mentioned six aspects. In addition, it attempts to understand the situation of traditional historiography in post-modernity from the perspective of accepting Derrida's idea.
