     《自由交流》是藝術家漢斯•哈克與社會學家皮耶•布赫迪厄的對話集,針對一九八○年代至九○年代初的諸多文化政治議題坦然交換意見,兩人所累積的個別成就在此發揮跨領域的更大能量。兩者的契合之處向來未受藝術史或社會學界的注意,而布赫迪厄的反思社會學與哈克的藝術機制批判是相得益彰的,他們共同重新思考文化場域的本質、定義與影響。《自由交流》的書名也表兩人所追求的無「象徵性壓制」的開放境界,使學術與械術的生產、傳遞及接受層面,有效抵抗保守勢力、市場、媒體與政治的干預。本文分析《自由交流》的主要論點與所附的藝術作品,參照兩人其他的相關論述和創作,討論他們在理念上的異同及發展脈絡。本文將專注於兩人的藝術社會學研究、「場域自主性」的觀念、媒體與「擬像」批判、多元文化主義與共和理想。
     t或The book Free Exchange documents the dialogue between the artist Hans Haacke and the sociologist Pierre Bourdieu in which they openly exchange views on many issues regarding cultural politics from the mid 1980s to the early 1990s. Their meeting yields rich and powerful interdisciplinary insights rather than merely showing their respective achievements in art and sociology. Art historians and sociologists have long ignored their affinities; however, Bourdieu's reflexive sociology and Haacke's critique of art institutioms share much in common. Both reconsider the properties, definition, and impact of the cultural field. The title of the book also represents both authors' common goal: an open relm where art and scholarship, free from any "symbolic dominations," effectively resist the intrusions of conservatives, market, media, and politics in all the aspects of production, distribution, and reception. The main idea and art pieces contained in Free Exchange will be analyzed in relation to both authors' other works and their contexts. This paper examines the similarities and differences between Haacke's and Bourdieu's views: focusing on their research on sociology of art, notions of "autonomy of the field," critiques of media and simulacrum, perspectives on multiculturalism, and ideals republicanism.
