Although Zhu Yizun, the inaugurator of West Zhejiang Ci School in the Qing Dynasty, canonizes Jiang Kui and Zhang Yan and advocates “Pure and Elegant” and “Clear and Empty”, his writings close more with Zhang Yan. It is Li E who can carry out Zhu Yizun’s idea for respecting Jiang Kui and start the development for West Zhejiang Ci School. Li E’s sympathy with Jiang Kui is in arts as well as in life. But Li E not only follows Jiang Kui but also exceeds him which is reflected as follows: first, he can write felling and aesthetic taste by location landscape; third, he creates a kind of state, quiet and clear, in the Ci poetry. Through Jiang Kui’s Ci poetry on objects was full of creation, the receivers, in present and afterward, often take his such works with a lot of allusions as excellent ones. That shows some aspects of aesthetic spirit for the era.
