This paper is focused on the publishing of unauthorized edition which printed in Taiwan in the Martial Law period, and to discuss the development and influence of these publications. These publications (whose authors stayed in Mainland China at that time) were grouped as Suppressed Publications, but these publications were needed by market. Therefore, they became unauthorized edition and circulated in Taiwan. Some of them were published as forged books been changed or deleted parts of contents. When the Martial Law period ended, these publishers need to face the change of political environment and the reading habit; some of them succeed and some of them failed. Through the discussion of this article, we know that the political issue disturbs the provision of book market and influences the publishing history.
